Tuition

Anna currently teaches piano at St Albans School and for ten years was a teacher and accompanist at St Albans High School for Girls, and Tring Park School for the Performing Arts.

Anna has a thriving  private practice of piano pupils of all ages, including enthusiastic adults!  She teaches at Miswell Studio in the  grounds of her home in Tring. Her students have been successful in exams at all levels, from prep test through to diploma, but she believes in a holistic approach and tailors lessons to suit the needs of the individual.  She encourages performing skills.

In addition to teaching piano, she gives tuition in theory and practical musicianship, and coaches singers. and instrumentalists

Anna has adjudicated music competitions at various schools including Leeds Grammar School and Kingshott School in Hitchin.  She has been an ABRSM examiner since 2015.

Anna continues to develop her own skills as a teacher. She is a member of EPTA and ISM and regularly attends conferences given by both associations, as well as those given by ABRSM. She practises Feldenkrais and Alexander Technique.

Teaching arrangements during COVID-19

During the current crisis, special arrangements are currently in place.  Full facilities for on-line teaching have been set up in the Studio, and it is COVID safe for face to face teaching, when that is possible. For the risk assessment and further details, click here.
